WHAT IS SASA?

SASA, which stands for Students Against Sexual Assault, is a Montana State University club that has the goal of promoting healthy relationships in both the MSU campus and the Bozeman community. SASA members come from a diverse range of backgrounds — we all stand together to speak out against all forms of violence and policies created to inhibit the free will and safety of sexual assault survivors. SASA has a strong belief that education is a crucial part of prevention and we actively work to increase awareness around topics such as stalking, relationship violence, sexual assault, and much more.

SASA members use their voices to foster a healthy dialogue about sex, sexuality, gender, discrimination, human rights, and much more. We stand firm in the face of diversity and choose to make the world a better place.

STiLGONE- a Bozeman based band that plays a unique fusion of genres, spanning funk, soul, hip hop, reggae, psychedelic rock and more. While covering so many styles, they manage to create a cohesive sound that is uniquely their own. Their live shows are an immersive trip through detailed soundscapes, danceable grooves, and the lyrics of songwriter and guitarist Symon Palmer, who founded the band originally in 2016.

icarus- Humanity’s greatest myths and heroic legends exist as profound elements of storytelling, as do the musicians and artists of the world, all with the hope capturing the spirit and mythologies or their generation. Son of master craftsmen and inventor Daedelus, an immensely ambitious and daring individual, Icarus represents the creative minds of these individuals; the metamorphosis of enduring passion and creativity, which will outlast the scorches of time and leave a trail of flames behind.

Recap : Duckworth Presents Pinky and The Floyd

I never met Milton Menasco.

I saw posters for “Milton Menasco and the Big Fiasco” all over the place for decades, and when I started doing regularly doing sound in 2012 I kinda figured one way or another I’d run into him. Unfortunately I never got that opportunity – Milton’s ticker stopped ticking on March 18th, 2022.  In two years that ripped a piece of everyone’s heart out, we lost Joe Knapp, Milton Menasco, and Noel Lacey.

Milton had a passion for music and skiing that sustained him through dark winters, and it was a life goal for him to create a foundation to make these activities more accessible for others that are struggling. Fortunately Milton’s dreams continue on, though the efforts of friends and family. The Milton Menasco Foundation was created to support mental health by creating recreational opportunities for people that are struggling. With help from Duckworth Co and Pinky and the Floyd, the first fundraiser for the foundation was held at the Filling Station on 10/6/2023, to great success.

Ripping through classic Floyd tunes with ease, the band was met with loud and boisterous applause. Two encores weren’t enough to satisfy the fans, who wanted more.

The fundraiser was a great success, with proceeds benefiting Suffer Out Loud, The Help Center, and the Bridger Ski Foundation.  Many thanks to everyone that was a part of it!
