Epic Americana Rock band, The Brevet, has steadily developed it’s identity as an emerging artist to watch in 2023. Originally from Orange County, CA, their forthcoming release, “Wanderers” is for listeners looking for something authentic in the midst of today’s empty “tik tok” songs. The album speaks to listeners who have a wandering spirit with deep lyrics and anthemic sounds. Featuring songs co-written with Rob Thomas and Kevin Griffin, “Wanderers” is a deep and genuine album that can hold it’s weight in today’s world.

Jacob Rountree:

Recent festivals have included Firefly and Bottlerock along with several international tours. The band has also been featured in media outlets such as Paste Magazine, Billboard, and Earmilk. Additionally The Brevet’s music can be heard on national internet and television campaigns, with placements that include TBS, Fox, the MLB Network, Apple Inc. and Jack Wolfskin; films such as Ashby (Paramount), Ron Howard’s The Good Lie; and television shows such as American Idol, Lucifer, and 90210.

Jacob Rountree is an alternative/indie songwriter living in the stunning alpine of Montana. Contemplative yet playful, his lyric forward style is reflective of his love for philosophy, poetry and quantum physics.

“His performance can be described as warm and comforting, almost like a welcoming hug from a family member.” – Gifted Balance Records

Jacobs contagious soul presents itself through raw vocals of impressive range and beautiful timbre, mesmerizing percussive finger-style guitar and a balance of catchy yet complex, polyrhythms. Rountree’s unique production style is that of Bob Dylan meets Pink Floyd, ranking the integrity of his music with contemporary artists such as Bon Iver, Ben Howard, and Shakey Graves.

Carly King:

For New Jersey-born and raised Carly King, what first started as self-exploration into the mountain west has now become the early stages of a budding career as an indie folk artist. The Colorado-based singer-songwriter just wants to “go to the mountains alone, buy a plane ticket home and throw out her phone…”

In October 2020, King introduced the world to her unique sound with those lyrics in her debut single “Mountains, Alone.” In it’s first year it earned over 500,000 streams, an honorable mention from American Songwriter, and was dubbed a song “on repeat” by Spotify. As the world continued to navigate the realities of Covid in the subsequent years of her release, “Mountains, Alone” became a staple toe-tapping retreat from quarantines, masks, and chaos.
