Blaise Arsenault, Ben Klein, Doug Wales and Loren Block bring Afro-pop, Cuban and Latin tunes to life at the Filling Station May 2nd with Loren Block and Jelani Mahiri’s duo, Trygh, getting the show started!

About Bozambique:

Inspired by AfroPop songs (60’s-80’s) from Ghana and Nigeria,
and Desert Blues from the Sahara region of Africa,
our Bozeman, Montana band offers an energetic infusion of
American Rhythm & Blues, Jazz and Rock
for a very unique sound we call,
BoZambique.

About Trygh:

What do you get when you mix Nordic folk tunes with Brazilian drums? What happens when you blend Chinese melodic scales with Peruvian percussion?

The band Trygh (“trai-ig”) navigates this ocean of sounds to create a sonic palette of worldly influences shaped by local life under the Big Sky.

Playing mostly original tunes that build on the freshness derived from cross-pollination, Trygh also plays unique instrumental takes by artists ranging from  the Beatles to Billie Eilish to Bad Bunny.

Based in Bozeman, Montana, Trygh consists of Loren Block on electric bass and Jelani Mahiri on Afro-Latin and African hand percussion.
